To Geilo by car

The shortest route linking Oslo and Bergen is the Rv7 Road, and Geilo lies halfway. The Rv7 road is a national tourist route stretching across the Hardangervidda Mountain Plateau and along the Hardanger Fjord.  You can also approach Geilo via the Rv50 road over the mountains from west to east.  This road passes through magnificent scenery between Aurland and Hol, which is only 10 km from Geilo.  The Rv40 road leaves Geilo following the valley of Numedal to Kongsberg, continues to Larvik and on to Tønsberg and Sandefjord providing the quickest route for visitors arriving at Larvik by boat from Denmark.
